Version 0.1.0 - 1 October 2025

The first playable version of Fractured Path is here, a chapter with 10 levels (4 tutorials + 6 base levels) to showcase the core mechanics, enemies, traps and items.

 

Core Mechanics

Top-down Movement - Move up, down, left, and right through the maze.

Running & Stamina - Run to move faster, but watch your stamina bar.

Pickup & Inventory System - Collect, use, and even sell items to stay prepared.

 

Enemies

Green Slime - Patrols along a fixed path, dealing 1 damage if touched.

Red Slime - Tougher variant that patrols like the Green Slime but deals 2 damage.

Slime Potion - Disguised as a helpful potion; reveals itself and deals 1 damage when interacted with.

 

Traps

Laser Trap - Fires lasers from walls, dealing 1 damage.

Spike Trap - Shoots spikes from the ground, causing 2 damage.

 

Potions

Healing Potion - Restores 1 heart, but cannot exceed max health.

Divine Potion - Grants short invulnerability to all enemies and traps, with a halo that blinks before the effect ends.

 

Items

Shield - Absorbs 1 hit of damage, then breaks. Cannot stack. 

Magnifying Glass - Reveals if a potion is real or a Slime Potion, then shatters after Slime Potion is revealed.

Revealing Orb - Shows all enemies, traps, and keys on the map (except potions and items) until the level ends.

 

Features

Map system - View the maze layout and doors once a map is found.

Shop system - Buy items to aid your escape.

Scoring system - Earn coins based on performance and maze size.

Revive system - Use coins to revive with 1 heart and be in an invulnerability state for a short duration.
